Job Introduction
We are looking for an Anti-Social Behaviour Officer to join our dedicated Anti-Social Behaviour Team. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference in our vibrant and diverse city. The main responsibilities of this role are to work in partnership with other agencies in order to prevent and tackle Anti-Social Behaviour, using problem solving, interventions and legislative powers where appropriate.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Experience of partnership working with all relevant statutory sector agencies (especially the Local Authority, health and criminal justice agencies) at all levels.
- A good working knowledge of ASB legislation, including non-statutory interventions.
- Carrying out investigations and preparing cases for Court hearings in child protection,civil criminal courts.
- A good appreciation of risk assessment and risk management.
- A working knowledge of confidentiality issues and the handling of sensitive data, including an understanding of the data protection legislation.
- Effective communication at all levels with an ability to present ideas using a variety of formats, including written and oral reports.
- Ability to negotiate and influence in order to achieve positive outcomes.
- Able to initiate and implement cross partner development and learning.
- NVQ 4 or equivalent in a related subject area, e.g., social sciences or humanities plus work experience in related field.
- Experience of partnership working with all relevant statutory sector agencies (especially the Local Authority, health and criminal justice agencies) at all levels.
Post holders will be expected to work unsocial hours, including weekends, occasionally.
A clear enhanced DBS is required for this role. Successful candidate also will be subject to police checks.
