Bradford Council’s Jobs and Careers website is a separate website to our main Bradford Council website. Each website has its own accessibility statement, to ensure we can properly describe the accessibility for each site or service.
Introduction
This website is owned by Bradford Council and delivered by a third party provider. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website, and we want this site to be as accessible as possible. For example, that means you should be able to:

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
Some of the PDF and Word documents currently available on the website are not fully accessible due to the way they have been created – this fails on Success Criterion 2.4.2 Page Titled, WCAG 1.1.1 Non-text Content, and 1.3.1: Info and Relationships.
The focus indicator for the form fields under ‘Search our vacancies’ is not very clear against the background. This fails on WCAG 2.4.7 Focus Visible. We plan to resolve this issue by January 2025.

Content that is not within the scope of the accessibility regulations
PDFs and other documents
Some of our older PDFs and Word documents do not meet accessibility standards - for example, they may not be fully accessible to a screen reader.
