Bradford District is currently undergoing a considerable transformational agenda, and this is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Apprentice Engineer to join the Highway Maintenance team, who have responsibility for maintenance of around 2,000km of adopted road network.

You will have the opportunity to undertake an Apprenticeship Scheme contributing to the transformation of our district with an unprecedented investment of over £300 million over the next 5 to 10 years. The main purpose of the role includes:
- Providing assistance with the design of Civil Engineering works, including the preparation of designs, calculations, drawings, estimates, contracts, and other documentation.
- Assisting with contract administration, site supervision, record keeping, measurement of works, specification compliance, and checking of accounts for payment in accordance with the Council’s Standing Orders and Financial Regulations.
- Carrying out surveys, feasibility studies, and data collection, and assisting with the preparation of reports, project development, and consultation.
The apprentice will follow a programme of training relating to the role and achieve the appropriate skills, competencies, and qualifications by the end of the training programme.
