The Department of Corporate Resources would like to recruit an Apprentice who is enthusiastic, competent and flexible.
The main purpose of the role:-
Ensuring that electrical works to Local Authority properties are carried out to the highest possible standard in accordance with drawings and specifications and in accordance with the Current Building Regulations
The apprentice will follow a programme of training relating to the role and achieve the appropriate skills, competencies and qualifications of the role by the end of the training programme.
We are looking for individuals who are committed to undertaking a Intermediate Level (3) in Installation Electrician/ Maintenance Electrician
The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.
The criteria under special knowledge and experience on the job profile which is shown in this advert outlines what level of fluency you will be expected to demonstrate. Therefore, it is essential that you provide examples in your application.
To qualify for the apprenticeship, you must have GCSE Maths and English at Grades 4 or a minimum of Entry Level 3 or above in Maths and English. (An assessment may take place before the interview stage).
Bradford Council will provide you with sufficient time, the working environment, training and the range of job activities within where it is possible for you to complete your full apprenticeship.

To meet the apprenticeship funding requirements, you must be entitled to work in the UK and
have been a resident for 3 years.
