They manage a variety of library models, including council-run, community-managed, and hybrid libraries, as well as the Home Library Service and outreach programs. The team works collaboratively to ensure excellent service delivery, supporting both staff and volunteers to meet community needs and foster continuous improvement.

The Libraries & Archives team plays a vital role in delivering the Universal Library Offers, championing reading, digital inclusion, health and well being, and cultural engagement across Bradford. Our Area Managers ensure the smooth running of library operations, including financial procedures and event programming, and works collaboratively with other library team members, locality teams and external stakeholders to align services with community needs. They are also responsible for health and safety, security, and compliance with Council policies, while contributing to strategic projects and service planning.
