Job Introduction
The Tree and Woodland Service is a small team tasked with the management and development of the Council's tree and woodland estate across parks, green spaces, woodlands and the adopted highway.
Role Description
We are looking for an Assistant Tree and Woodland Manager to join our dedicated team in the Department of Place. The role will make a key contribution to the Council's mission of creating a healthier, caring, more prosperous, sustainable district.
The main responsibilities of this role
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Councils Woodland Strategy and the provision of sustainable, well maintained, safe woodlands and trees throughout the District
- Day to day management of the Council’s woodland assets in conformance with the principles of the United Kingdom Woodland Assurance Standard (UKWAS).
- Develop and support partnership working with voluntary, community and social enterprises to manage the districts woodlands
- Participate in the provision of the out of hours standby service
