Bibliographic and Support Services Manager

Job Introduction

The Bibliographic and Support Services team at Bradford Libraries is responsible for managing the library's cataloguing and IT infrastructure. The team ensures the quality and integrity of the library's catalogue, oversees procurement and supplier relationships, and supports the delivery of a diverse range of resources to meet community needs. They support the wider library team and to maintain high standards and drive continuous improvement.

The Bibliographic and Support Services manager leads and manages the bibliographic functions and associated IT infrastructure of the Library Service. Key responsibilities include overseeing the cataloguing and request functions, managing procurement and supplier contracts, and ensuring the effective collection and analysis of performance data. The role also involves supporting the Head of Libraries in budget management, contributing to service planning and development, and representing Bradford Libraries in various professional groups. Strong leadership, project management, and data analysis skills are essential for this role, along with a commitment to delivering high-quality library services.
