Business Support Officer

Job Introduction

On behalf of Employment and Skills Service, Bradford Metropolitan District Council seeks to recruit an experienced, dedicated and enthusiastic Business Support Officer to join;

SkillsHouse Bradford an all age guidance service which supports people in the Bradford District to achieve their career and training goals. We can provide useful tools, bespoke tailored support and resources to help you overcome any barriers to achieving life changing employment opportunities, equipping individuals with all they need to succeed.

SkillsHouse which was launched in 2016, is our local innovative public employment service partnership and gateway for supporting both business and jobseekers working to improve business and inclusive employment outcomes.   It is responsible for building our local partnership offer to employers and jobseekers alike.  SkillsHouse provides structured and tailored employment pathways for our unemployed young people and adults that meet businesses recruitment and talent management needs. 

The role will be responsible for delivering robust business, financial, marketing, and administrative support for SkillsHouse. 

To take a lead on developing, capturing, managing and presenting data to evidence and monitor SkillsHouse performance and impact across a wide range of programmed and initiatives.

 You will therefore have a range of skills including:

  •  Ability to work flexibly to accommodate the needs of the service
  • Able to deal with internal and external customers both face to face and over the telephone 
  • Skilled in the use of key IT packages, organising of programme/project/CRM administration across the team.
  • Able to complete clerical and administrative work with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience in monitoring and driving team performance. 
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a business administration role
