Casual Commis Chef

Job Introduction

Bradford Theatres are recruiting Casual Commis Chefs to join the kitchen team at our iconic city centre venues, to work across multiple sites; Alhambra Theatre, The Studio, St George’s Concert Hall and King’s Hall and Winter Garden, Ilkley.

To support and supplement the existing kitchen team (Chef Manager, Senior Chef, Junior Chefs and other Casuals) at the above venues, we are looking to recruit additional Casual Commis Chefs.

This is a wonderful opportunity for an applicant who would like to join a friendly, passionate, established team and further develop their career within multi-sited entertainment facilities

Most importantly, evening shifts generally finish at 20:00 – a rarity in the industry!

Work may be available Monday to Sunday depending on the needs of the business at the four venues, to include Bank Holidays and evenings as well as day time shifts.

You will need to be enthusiastic and be able to work within the role to the highest standard dealing with a demanding kitchen environment at all the above named sites.

Applicants must have the ability to work both using their own initiative and as part of a team, and display willingness to learn and update personal training as required.

A working knowledge of Food Hygiene (Food Safety level 2 or 3) and relevant Health & Safety knowledge would be desirable, but not essential as training will be given to the successful candidate.

Full training & uniform will be given. Should you wish to visit the Alhambra Theatre and speak to the Chef Manager or the Restaurant Manager this can be arranged with prior notice.
