Job Introduction
Bradford Local Studies and Archives teams collect, preserve and promote the documented history and heritage of the Bradford district enabling access to these extensive resources for a wide variety of customers and researchers.
Bradford Library Service is looking to recruit Casual Local Studies & Archive Assistants to join our teams at Bradford and Keighley Local Studies Libraries to provide essential cover for other staff when required.
The main responsibilities of this role:
- Working within the team on front line services including providing a customer-focused enquiry and research service, supporting visitors and answering enquiries by phone and email.
- Assisting with the maintenance of stock and other collection management tasks such as indexing and cataloguing.
- Assisting with events and activities and in engaging people with their heritage and local area.
