Casual Technician/ Dresser

Job Introduction

Bradford Theatres are looking to recruit self-motivated and enthusiastic casual Technicians and Dressers to join our busy Technical Department. The successful candidate will work across all three of our prestigious venues, The Alhambra Theatre, Studio Theatre and St George’s Concert Hall

For the post of Casual Technician you must have demonstrable experience of carrying out all duties relating to the electrical equipment including programming ETC ION desks, focusing, fault finding and other backstage work with in large Theatre and Concert Hall environment.

For the post of Casual Dresser you must have a knowledge and ideally experience of working in a Theatre, Back of House in the Technical stage related area. However, for this position consideration will be given for those candidates showing the correct attitude and aptitude with a willingness to learn and self development. 

For the post of Casual Technician you must have a minimum of 12-24 months experience of carrying out all duties relating to the backstage work with in large Theatre and Concert Hall environment.

 The main responsibilities of this role:

  • working on fit up
  • cue's during show
  • Working on get outs
