Please Note: The application deadline for this job has now passed.

Job Introduction

The Clean Air Zone Operations team plays a critical role in improving air quality in Bradford through the delivery of the Clean Air Zone. Air quality has already improved significantly since the introduction of the CAZ. Early health data also shows that there have been reductions in respiratory referrals to GPs and hospitals across the district. The CAZ Operations team is part of the wider Sustainability Service which is driving the council’s net zero and sustainability ambitions.

The main responsibilities of this role:

  • processing data in relation to vehicle passage in the Bradford Clean Air Zone
  • monitoring and reporting issues with the Clean Air Zone infrastructure
  • providing information and advice to vehicle owners about the Zone itself, air quality, vehicle type compliance, emissions standards, taxation classes, retrofit solutions, exemptions to CAZ charges and Clean Air Funding Programmes.
  • involved in identifying ways to improve and develop the management of the Clean Air Zone, making recommendations on the effectiveness, efficiency and quality of services.
