Job Introduction

PO3 - PO6: £41,511 - £52,805 per annum, plus a market supplement of 15% for 1 year for Senior Lawyers

Location: Bradford City Hall with homeworking available

are wanting to recruit a Lawyer/Senior Lawyer to join our friendly and professional legal department at Bradford Metropolitan District Council. Bradford is an exciting and rapidly evolving place to live and work. This post is a key opportunity for a highly motivated commercial lawyer to bring their experience and enthusiasm to the team.

The Legal Services Department is entering an exciting time as the Council takes on more projects going forward including the City of Culture 2025 (https://bradford2025.co.uk/), the new national rail interchange and other major developments across the District. 

This attractive and challenging role provides an opportunity to build on your experience.  If successful, you will provide legal advice to the Council on aspects of contracts and procurement law across all services including being involved in regeneration projects across the District. 

You will be based in the Bradford City Centre in the Grade One Listed City Hall and have all the benefits of the cultural, retail and leisure facilities that Bradford has to offer as the 4th largest Metropolitan District.

The Councils general conditions of employment apply including – 8 statutory holidays, 27 days’ annual leave and flexible working and flexi time. In addition, we offer an excellent pension scheme through the West Yorkshire Pension Fund.
