Job Introduction
Safer Bradford, our district Community Safety Partnership, is seeking a highly motivated Officer to support the delivery of the district Community Safety Partnership Plan and to drive innovation.
You will need to be skilled, experienced and able to:
- Work at a senior level to lead on strategies which intervene early to prevent and reduce crime in the district’s neighbourhoods and communities.
- Lead the delivery of key aspects of the district Safer Communities Plan driving the input and resources of partners into this agenda
Taking the lead and driving innovation you will deliver initiatives from inception to outcome. Showing a good understanding of the need to work alongside the district’s communities to achieve goals in partnership. You will need to be flexible and a strong team player.

Required experience:
- Hold a relevant degree or equivalent and practical full time experience working within a complex multi-agency setting at a senior level.
- Carries out the working practices, procedures and basic operations across services related to community safety
- Uses a range of specialist ICT systems across own work area and or across other areas of work.
- Oversees or contributes to the management of a budget , keeping costs within agreed levels for own section/team
- Uses, interprets, analyses, communicates complex numerical information.
- Demonstrate understanding of key government policies and new legislation impacting upon the functions, leadership and organisational parameters of CBMDC and its partners, especially that related to community safety
- Able to engage and understand where there are barriers to people or groups accessing community safety services and respond appropriately.
- Significant experience of working with marginalised and/or disadvantaged communities and shown leadership in measures to improve quality of life indicators.
- Creating productive strategies which meet the long term needs of communities and maximise the use of resources to create beneficial outcomes and sustainable solutions.
- Significant experience of working with a range of partners to agree joint work programmes which achieve positive outcomes in our communities
- Demonstrate project planning and management skills.
