We have created a People’s Commissioning Service bringing together the commissioning and contract & quality functions across Adults, Children’s, Public Health Services and Housing. This team enables closer joint working and the further continuous development of best practice.  Within the Contract and Quality Team we are looking a person who has a strong interest in working with providers and key partners to ensure the performance, quality and value for money of services is achieved. Working within our underlying beliefs that people should be supported to exercise choice and control over their lives.

 Across the wider service we work with providers in areas including, older people, people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, neurodiversity mental ill health, early intervention and prevention, housing related support, substance misuse, carers, advocacy, domestic violence children and young people services.  The People’s Commissioning Service will enable the successful applicant to expand their knowledge and experience across a wide range of service areas.

Contract & Quality Officer – Adults Social Care

We are looking for a candidate who can effectively undertake a contract and quality role in the team. The team oversee a broad range of contracts; opportunities may be available to work across a number of areas but the particular focus for this role will be managing contracts with providers delivering mental health support. The Contract and Quality Team work strategically alongside commissioning colleagues to develop service provision that meets the needs of the people in District.

 The successful candidate/s will;

  • Effectively manage service performance, interpreting reports and data
  • Effectively establish and manage contracts to ensure value for money, quality and strategic relevance.  
  • Develop and implement quality assurance systems, monitoring and review processes for all commissioned and contracted services to ensure that service standards are met and required outcomes are delivered.

You must have:

  • Two years’ experience of working with or within a social care, health or similar environment for example; the community and voluntary sector or housing services. 
  • Experience of contract monitoring or management including inter-agency working. Experience of project monitoring & evaluation.
  • Level 4 qualification* or higher in a relevant discipline or similar evidence relevant to the skills and ability to do the job
  • *Certificate of higher education, higher national certificate or other Level 4 award
