Customer Support Assistant - Peripatetic

Job Introduction

Peripatetic roles

Libraries, and how we understand the peripatetic meaning:

We are recruiting a Peripatetic staff to cover Eccleshill and Laisterdyke Libraries.

This role will be expected to cover sickness and annual leave of other staff members. You will be given a weekly rota, which will list hours and locations for the following week. If no rota given then you will need to work in your base library, after checking with your manager.  Your rotas can change weekly as this will depend on which libraries need cover, for which days and times.   Most libraries are open 2 nights a week, until 7.00pm.

If you are required to work a weekend, then pay will be at time and a half, so an extra hours timesheet will need to be completed.  Once you have worked your 15 hours per week, you may be asked if you wish to do extra hours when required by your manager.    If you haven’t worked your 15 hours in one week, then you will need to do extra the following week to fulfil your contract.
