Job Introduction
We are looking for a hard working , compassionate individual to join our dedicated mortuary team who work on behalf of H.M. Coroner to provide an essential service.
Bradford Public Mortuary and Forensic Science Centre is a very busy mortuary who care for deceased patients to a high standard, showing dignity and respect to each individual we bring into our care.
The main responsibilities of this role:
- The transfer and collection of deceased persons as instructed by H.M Coroner and West Yorkshire Police.
- Participate fully and flexibly on an on-call service outside of core operational hours including weekends and on Bank Holidays.
- Drive the mortuary vehicle to collect and transfer deceased persons from various locations.
- Collate and record accurate details of the deceased as given by the coroners officers, Police and emergency services.
- Comply with Human Tissue Authority (HTA) and Health and Safety Executive (HSE) standards and guidance at all times, supporting safe working practices and patient safety.
An enhanced disclosure check with the Disclosure and Barring Service will be undertaken for this post.
