Emergency Planning Manager

Job Introduction

Are you ready to shape the future of resilience and emergency preparedness for Bradford Council? We’re looking for a dynamic Emergency Planning Manager to drive change and strengthen our ability to prepare, respond, and recover from major incidents.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead on the development and delivery of the Council’s resilience, business continuity, and risk management strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 and related legislation.
  • Work collaboratively with leaders, partner organisations, and blue-light services to improve emergency response.
  • Embed emergency planning and business continuity into day-to-day operations and organisational change.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in change management and delivering strategic improvements.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Excellent partnership working and communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience delivering business continuity, resilience, emergency planning, and other statutory requirements.
