About this role:

We are proud to practice in line with the core values of social work, using a strength based and person-centred approach. You will work creatively with older people and the carers to complete assessments, develop care and support plans, and promote long term well-being. You will be supported to practice thoughtfully, balancing risk, rights, and responsibilities while promoting independence and positive outcomes.

This role requires enthusiasm, compassion, emotional resilience, and confidence in making balanced and proportionate professional judgement. You will be encouraged to reflect on practice, develop your skills, and contribute positively to service improvement.

What we're looking for:

  • You will be an experienced social worker within a background in adult social care, particularly assessment and support planning. You will have:
  • A strong working knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and safeguarding principal.
  • Confidence in recognising signs of abuse or neglect and responding appropriately and proportionately.
  • Experience of working in partnership with internal teams & external agencies.
  • A clear commitment to person centred practice, including effective work with carers and families.
  • The ability to work in line with local procedures, policies, procedures and statutory guidance.

Essential Requirements: 

  • Degree in social work or (DipSW equivalent)
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • Relevant post qualification experience in adult services
  • Full UK driving licence unless a disability prevents this
