Child and Family Domestic Abuse Support Worker

Service: Bradford Survive & Thrive Integrated Children’s Service

Salary: Starting at £24,971 FTE per annum, to £27,504 FTE per annum

£19,976.80 to £22,003.20 per annum for part time (29.6 hours per week)

Grade 2, point 16-19* 

Location: Bradford, BD1

Hours: Part-time (29.6 hours per week)

Survive & Thrive’s Integrated Children’s Service delivers support to children and families and we are looking for a  Domestic Abuse Support Worker to work with children and young people, focusing on the reduction of trauma symptoms and rebuilding of relationships affected by domestic abuse. 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Completing whole family assessments to identify need
  • Building support plans with families to address the impact of domestic abuse
  • Delivering trauma informed interventions with children, young people and their families

Main Requirements (for details check the job description and person specification):

  • You will have experience of working directly with children, young people and their families where there has been domestic abuse. 
  • You will have an understanding and experience of trauma informed approaches to working with children and families
  • You will have experience of safeguarding risk assessment, identifying safeguarding concerns and following procedures.
  • Appointments are subject to Family Action receiving a satisfactory disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service – Enhanced Child Workforce Child Barred Lists
