Responsible for the Fitness Rooms. To promote the safe use of the facilities. To ensure basic maintenance of the equipment is carried out. To ensure the facilities are kept up to a high standard of cleanliness. To liaise closely with members of the public, producing fitness programmes, health screening etc. To have a working knowledge of the GP Referral Scheme and the Inclusive Fitness Initiative, their client base and their needs.To be part of a small team responsible for delivering advice on membership options to members of the public. To include administration and completion of all paperwork relating to membership sales for the fitness centre. 

We are looking for a Fitness Attendant/ Membership Advisor to join our dedicated team in Sport and Leisure. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference in our vibrant and diverse city. 

 The main responsibilities of this role:

  • General control and patrolling of the gym and fitness areas
  • Produce fitness programmes and health screening.
  • Making sure all rooms, machinery and equipment are kept safe, clean and ready to use.
  • Deliver inductions and GP referral inductions.
  • Promoting and processing memberships, carrying out basic admin duties.
