As an integral partner of Bradford Council and West Yorkshire Police, we deliver partnership approaches towards hate crime and overcoming hate related abuse and/ or criminal behaviour. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Hate Crime Coordinator. In this vital role, you will play a crucial part in supporting victims of hate crime and promoting community cohesion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate our Hate Crime Reporting services, ensuring efficient and effective support for victims.
- Develop and implement strategies to prevent hate crime and promote understanding of its devastating impact on individuals and communities.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including community groups, law enforcement, and support agencies.
- Analyse data and trends to identify emerging issues and inform prevention strategies.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of victims of hate crime.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Experience of coordinating multiple projects, ideally within an equal opportunities, multi-cultural setting.
- Strong understanding of the impact of hate crime and its effect on protected characteristics.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to promoting equality and diversity.
