We are looking for an experienced Core Infrastructure engineer to join our dedicated team in the IT services Department. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference in our vibrant and diverse city.
Main responsibilities of this role:
- Technical lead for managing and implementing projects
- Service Management: use of ITSM tools (e.g Cherwell, BMC Remedy and ServiceNow) to manage customer incidents and service requests
- Working to SLA’s and core ITIL framework
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation
- Support (configure, manage, monitor, troubleshoot and optimise) technologies below*: -
- Windows Server operating system
- Windows Server roles – AD, DNS, DHCP, ADCS, WSUS, etc
- Server virtualisation technologies – VMWare, Hyper-V, Azure etc
- Storage technologies – NetApp array, FC SAN
- Backup technologies – NetApp SnapCenter, Veeam, Azure Cloud Backup etc
- Email – MS Exchange Online, Defender for Exchange, SMTP, SPF, DKIM and DMARC etc.
- Security Tools – MS Defender for Server, Tenable, SentinelOne etc
- Microsoft 365 Platform – EntraID, Connect Sync, Conditional Access, Application SSO etc
- Application load-balancing/publishing/reverse proxy – Citrix Netscaler etc
*Demonstration of understanding core concepts based on other similar tools is acceptable
