Job Introduction
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Support Officer to join the IT team at West Yorkshire Pension Fund (WYPF)—one of the largest regional funds in the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).
We are seeking a proactive and organised individual to provide administrative and technical support relating to the operation and maintenance of ICT equipment across the Unit and to Fund employers. This role will also support users with equipment issues and help troubleshoot local hardware and network problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure desktops, printers, mobile devices, and other ICT hardware are installed correctly, efficiently, and within agreed timescales and standards.
- Maintain and update WYPF’s asset register and other hardware registers, ensuring accuracy at all times.
- Manage the purchasing of IT consumables.
- Ensure daily backups are completed on all servers and coordinate the secure transfer of backup tapes off‑site in conjunction with our third‑party provider.
- Check and upload "Tell Us Once" data, update the NI Database, process Oracle exports and Tax Code updates, and take appropriate action to resolve any issues.
- Apply problem‑solving skills to evaluate and investigate issues, suggesting or implementing effective resolutions.
