Leisure Attendant Teacher

Job Introduction

The Council’s Leisure Service is the largest leisure provider in the district with over 2 million customers each year visiting our sports centres, swimming pools and halls. Our ‘b active’ campaign continues to encourage Bradford’s residents to be more physically active and we are now seeking additional committed and highly motivated people to help us continue with this work.

Ilkley Pool & Lido are now looking to recruit new staff who are lively, enthusiastic and committed to joining our team! If you feel you have what it takes, enjoy meeting and working with the public, and can provide a high standard of customer service we would like to hear from you.

Duties include: Responsible to the Duty Person for the day to day operations which will include teaching the skills of swimming and water safety to classes of pupils with varying abilities and levels of competence including children and adults, cleaning inside and outside of the facility, general control and patrol of the facilities, setting up and dismantling of equipment and dealing face to face with customers, responsible for lifeguarding and reception duties you will be supervised on a daily basis by the Duty Person, but will also report to the Operations Manager. 

To be considered for this job you must have the following:

  • SEQ / ASA Level 2 Swimming Teachers Qualification 
  • Current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification 
  • Enhanced DBS Check
