Job Introduction
We have some excellent job opportunities available within our team based in Bradford South, and we are currently seeking practical and enthusiastic person with a passion for creating positive change in Bradford’s neighbourhoods.
You don’t need any prior experience as we’ll provide you with on-the-job training and opportunities to learn and develop your skills even further.
As part of your role, you’ll be assigned a ‘patch’, allowing you to get to know the community and build strong relationships with residents and community groups. This personal touch will enable you to understand the unique needs of individuals and families. You’ll be working alongside our Neighbourhood Connect Project which involves carrying out visits, providing support and linking people to local services.
One day you will be supporting residents to organise a fun day, the next day you could be working alongside Youth Services to run a food bank, or you could be delivering educational work to help reduce air pollution, particularly around schools.
Another key part of this role is helping to encourage positive behaviour change and inspiring residents to take pride in their local area. You’ll support and motivate communities to get involved in local clean-up activities, promote environmental awareness, and help foster a sense of ownership and responsibility for shared spaces. Whether it’s helping to organise a litter pick, supporting a school eco-project, or simply having conversations that spark change, your work will make a real difference.
So, if you have a passion for community development, a desire to make a difference, and want a chance to grow both personally and professionally, we want to hear from you!
We would also like to hear from people fluent in Eastern European or Asian languages.
A disclosure check with the Disclosure and Barring Service will be sought for appointees to this post.
