Job Introduction
A vacancy has arisen for a temporary Operations Support Officer in the Fleet Compliance Department based at Shearbridge depot, to provide comprehensive support to the Fleet Compliance Manager by taking responsibility for a range of duties that enables the post holder to deliver an effective, cost efficient, customer focused Training Service on behalf of the Council and to ensure that Fleet & Transport Services meet operational, legislative and approved training centre requirements.
We are looking for an individual with experience of co-ordinating highly technical and legally compliant training delivery processes and procedures.
Duties include: ensuring delivery of prompt and effective information, advice and access to Training services provided by Fleet & Transport Services to its customers and be responsible for organising and managing the training diary, assisting the Fleet Compliance Manager in the development and implementation of systems and procedures to ensure effective communication and the highest standard of customer service to all customers, managing high volumes of specialist and technical training courses for customers and staff using a number of IT applications, issuing joining instructions and course information and research, organising and ensuring accurate administration of a number of specialist instructional and technical courses and material, producing resources for planned courses, evaluating feedback and producing management reports including reports required for budgets and efficiency planning, and dealing with requests for advice/help including addressing any complaints in relation to training and other FTS training provision.
This post is an integral part of the Fleet Compliance team and provides additional cover and operational support across all departments on site to ensure critical operational continuity and service delivery.
It is essential that you:
- have experience and evidence of co-ordinating training delivery or similar
- have outstanding organisational skills and the ability to produce high quality written communication
- have experience of using computerised databases and spreadsheets and ability to use ICT systems and applications
- can demonstrate an ability to work with a high level of computer literacy and be able to implement, maintain and manage accurate information retention systems both manual and computerised
- have the ability to understand administrative and financial procedures
- are used to working under constant pressure and to strict deadlines
- are able to demonstrate an ability to work with a high degree of accuracy, numeracy and literacy
- have excellent written and communications skills
- are able to manage your own time and priorities
- hold English and Maths grade 9 – 4 (or equivalent qualification) or NVQ level 2 in Business Administration (or equivalent) or at experience evidencing ability at this level.
