Job Introduction

The Role

The P2P Operations team in Procurement is seeking to recruit 2 x P2P Finance Officers   

The post will work within the remit of the Strategic Procure to Pay Function by providing support to the purchasing services provided across the Council including the creation of purchasing orders, booking travel requests and helping end-users with purchasing and payment queries.  The role will assist in ensuring that Procurement rules and regulations are followed and value for money is achieved.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Experience using a range of complex IT packages relating to area of work
  • Ability to adopt a process of continual improvement and suggest ways of working more efficient and effectively to improve service delivery
  • Carry Out Performance Management by managing own workload and carry out a number of specific tasks accurately and to a high standard
  • Communicate Effectively.
  • Carry Out Effective Decision Making
  • Undertake Structured Problem-Solving Activities
  • Operate with Dignity and Respect
  • Uses knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and regulations including risks in own area of work
  • Knows and understands how to use, interpret, handle and communicate information

GCSE, (Level A-C in English and Math's) or equivalent, or RSA Level 2 or NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent, or 1 Years experience working in Accounts Payable or Purchasing is a requirement of the post.
