Pensions Liaison Officer

Job Introduction

 

The Payroll & Pension Liaison Service are recruiting for a Pension Liaison Officer, who will contribute to provision of a high performing pension liaison service. Working as part of a friendly and supportive team and reporting to the Pension Liaison Team Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the provision of a centralised pension liaison service, administering and providing advice and guidance on a variety of public service pensions. 

 

This is a customer facing role, therefore the successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, and be confident in dealing with people from a variety of backgrounds.  

 

Some of the key competencies of the successful candidate are as follows:

 

  • Can demonstrate a high level of numeracy, literacy and accuracy across a range of activities
  • Provide guidance on pension matters to ensure compliance with the Statutory Pension Regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Working to strict pension statutory deadlines and able to effectively manage their own workload
  • Good communication skills to liaise with employees and managers to give pension related advice and guidance.
  • Able to use a variety of Microsoft Packages including Outlook, Word and Excel.

 

The successful candidate must be able to prove how they match the key competencies held within the job profile required for the role and be willing to work towards the others. Experience of working in a payroll or pension environment would be highly advantageous.
