Production Clerk

Job Introduction

ISG are a not-for-profit department within the  Built Environment sector of the Bradford Metropolitan District Council. We manufacture quality PAS24, Secure by design UPVC Windows/Doors, composite entrance Doors, as well as FD30S products.

Our primary aim is to offer opportunity and cater for persons who have protected characteristics/disabilities or have found themselves long term unemployed, We have opportunity for career development in a factory setting like no other

Industrial Services Group survey, Manufacture and install UPVC window/Door, composite door and FD30S fire doors under different recognised certified  bodies for the construction industry. We have been trading as a wholly owned part of the Council being established in 1997.

We are looking for a Administration Production Clerk ideally someone who has worked in the fenestration sector but not essential as full training can be given, to join our dedicated team in the Industrial Services Group. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference in our vibrant and diverse city. 

If you have experience in an office setting with a competent level of Microsoft suites, this role will be of interest to you:

Key Roles and responsibilities:

1.    Provide administrative assistance and support to the production, purchasing and estimating functions in a busy window and door production control office.

2.    Understand and assist the updating and maintenance of computer based systems used within the department on a daily basis including: Including the Purchase Order System

Records all purchase transactions carried out by the department together with received dates and supplier invoice details - Order Recording System

Record details of all customer orders received and surveyed windows and doors - Window and Door Production System

Generates manufacturing works orders from details input by the Admin Office staff.

3.    Cross-check details input by others for accuracy and correctness

4.    Use the Business micros ‘Evolution’ system to generate new window and door design variants, that will be necessary for including in quotations or customer orders, including setting up of components and part numbers, as may be required to accurately complete pricing estimates and works orders.

5.    Ensure that all administration tasks are performed in an accurate, timely and efficient manner.
