Job Introduction
Please add a short paragraph about your team
It is a pivotal time to join the Transformation and Change team at City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council as we strengthen our internal capacity to deliver the Council’s transformation ambitions. We are entering a major phase of organisational transformation that will play an important role in improving outcomes for residents and supporting the Council’s financial sustainability over the coming years.
Please add a short introductory paragraph about the role and the main responsibilities
This post will provide dedicated project management support for the Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF) a new Government funded local welfare grant for England running from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2029. The Fund is intended to support low-income households experiencing financial hardship, helping residents respond to sudden financial shocks such as a loss of income or unexpected essential costs, while also building longer term financial resilience through accessible, and person-centred support.
In Bradford, this is a strategically important piece of work. The CRF has strong links to the District’s Anti-Poverty Strategy, which is focused on reducing poverty and inequality, and to the Bradford District Good Food Strategy, which promotes prevention, dignity, choice and better access to affordable, nutritious food. The project also connects with the Council’s wider priorities, including the Localities Programme and Neighbourhood Connect model, as well as housing and customer access to support.
In this role, you will work across the organisation and with partners to help design and deliver an effective Bradford approach to the Fund. This will include working closely with services, corporate teams, locality-based partners and external stakeholders to coordinate activity, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure the project is delivered successfully and at pace. The role will also support monitoring, assurance and external reporting requirements, including the collation of information to support reporting to the DWP.
