Bradford is a fantastic, diverse and vibrant city which was UK City of Culture 2025.   Boasting a recently beautifully refreshed and revitalised city centre including a new city centre park (Norfolk Gardens), a major new entertainment venue Bradford Live adjacent to the already highly successful Alhambra Theatre which is frequently the first theatre in the North to host long runs of West End shows; the opening of Darley Street Market and the renovated St George’s Hall.   Further projects include a major regeneration project City Village creating 1000 homes in the city centre as well as the new BRIT school North – the only site for the BRIT school outside London. The immediate surrounding area includes the UNESCO World Heritage Site at Saltaire; Howarth and Bronte Country and the stunning Ilkley Moor from which the Yorkshire Dales National Park is only 6 miles away. With the youngest population of any city in Europe Bradford has a bright and exciting future.

We are the Service Development Team in the Department of Legal & Governance. Our team is friendly, supportive, and highly collaborative, creating an environment where you can thrive. We encourage continuous learning and development, offering opportunities to broaden your expertise and even expand your skills.

We are seeking to appoint a Service Development Assistant to provide business and management support to the Director of Legal & Governance and Head of Legal Services. 

The main responsibilities of this role are:

To provide a business and management support to the Director of Legal & Governance Services and Head of Legal Services.

  • To assist the Service Development Officer in the development of the legal case management system. This will include collecting, analysing and reviewing data and producing regular quality checked reports for section leads.
  • To assist with service planning, budget management and quality assurance 
  • To assist with staff management including absence management and recruitment
