Administration Officer

We are looking for an Administration Officer to join our dedicated team in the Parks & Street Cleansing-Shipley. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference in our vibrant and diverse city. 

 The main responsibilities of this role:

  • .to provide a wide range of administrative functions to Officers/Managers
  • .Reception and telephonist responsibility taking and distributing messages, logging and scanning of post
  • .deal with internal and external customers both face to face and over the telephone adopting the highest standards of customer care.
  •  maintaining a range of information systems in line with service user guidelines/procedures and in accordance with the Data Protection Act, maintaining confidentiality at all times
  •  liaison with other sections/department to verify information and/or seek authorisation for action
  • procure and pay for goods and supplies in accordance with Council Procurement procedures and policies
  • Collate information and communicate to relevant parties in preparation for meetings
