Casual Customer Services Officer

Britannia House, City Hall and Sir Henry Mitchell House, Bradford City Centre.

The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

The criteria under special knowledge and experience on the job profile which is shown in this advert outlines what level of fluency you will be expected to demonstrate.  Therefore, it is essential that you provide examples in your application.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, solution finder who will work as part of a team to assist with the day to day delivery of the front line reception service to both internal and external customers, oversee the room bookings systems and undertake any administrative duties required within the Customer Services Teams.

 As a Casual Customer Services Officer you will provide efficient and effective service delivery to customers, partners, visitors and members of the public. 

The varied workload involves:-  

  • Managing the front-line receptions in 3 City Centre Buildings for face-to-face visitors including members of the public, partners, visitors and facilitating meetings, controlling access and occasionally arranging tours or events.
  • Manage meeting/conference bookings on room booking system and produce reports.  Assist colleagues and external customers with conference, meeting and event organisation.   

 Candidates must have the following relevant experience:

  • Uses knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and regulations including risks in own area of work.
  • Uses a range of complex IT packages relating to area of work
