The Council Warden Team Leader post would suit a person who wants to make a difference to the residents, visitors & local businesses within our community. As a Warden Team Leader, you will work in close partnership with the Civil Enforcement and Operations Managers, leading a team of Council Wardens offering advice and direction to your team, as well as patrolling the streets and acting as an ambassador for the Council and as a first point of contact for citizens. You will be responsible for issuing tickets for parking contraventions. You will be expected to work with residents, businesses, community groups, schools and other partners to encourage people to take more responsibility for the neighbourhood that they live in.
We are seeking to recruit energetic people who have:
- Good communication skills and an approachable and friendly manner
- Are able to lead by example, with a ‘can do’ attitude
- Experience of working with the public
- Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- The literacy skills to issue tickets for civil enforcement offences and to complete the relevant documentation.
- Experience of supervising a medium sized workforce
- A full UK driving licence
Candidates will be required to work a shift pattern which includes evenings and weekends and are expected to be out and about patrolling the streets in all weathers.
