Job Introduction
Based at Alhambra Theatre, St George’s Hall
Bradford Theatres has a vacancy for a Duty Staff Member to work alongside 2 other members of staff working across city centre venues, The Alhambra Theatre and Studio and St. George’s Hall (some occasional work may be required at Kings Hall in Ilkley). You will need demonstrable experience working as a caretaker or in a similar position, but we would consider those with a willingness to learn new skills and attend training.
The hours of work are 30 hours per week Monday to Sunday (4 over 7 days). There will also be the opportunity for the right candidate to help and assist in other areas of the theatres by supplementing other staff members when and where the demands present themselves.
You will need to be enthusiastic, be able to work within the role to the highest standard dealing with Security, safety, maintenance and cleanliness for Bradford Theatres’ various and high-profile venues, and offer support to Bradford Theatres staff, visiting companies and all customers who use these spaces. The work can be physically demanding on a daily basis.
Applicants must have the ability to work both using their own initiative and as part of a team and have a strong willingness to learn and update personal training as required.
A working knowledge of ‘caretaking’ and relevant Health & Safety training would be desirable, but not essential.
