Role description
We are looking for a dynamic and creative [Marketing Officer] to join our dedicated team in the [Department of Environment, Bradford Museums and Galleries Service]. This role is an opportunity for someone with flair for public engagement and a passion for connecting diverse audiences with our rich cultural heritage. You'll develop and implement marketing campaigns to support delivery of Bradford Museums and Galleries Service in meeting our audience development priorities and promote the activities and key partnerships as part of an integrated and accessible communications and marketing service. The main responsibilities of this role:
- Develop and implement marketing plans for Bradford Museums and Galleries Service and key partnerships to support delivery of the service’s strategic priorities and promote the service’s profile at a local, regional and national level
- Develop and deliver targeted marketing campaigns to promote the policies, activities and programme of the museums service and key partnerships.
- Co-ordinate, develop and deliver targeted printed and electronic marketing materials for a wide range of stakeholders to increase awareness and engagement of museum services and facilities.
- Provide communications and marketing support to the delivery of museum services, including the creation of compelling written copy and visual content for use on web, digital and social media platforms as an alternative, where appropriate, to printed materials.
- Monitor the effectiveness of Bradford Museums and Galleries marketing plan and activities and make recommendations for improvement.
- Plan and coordinate a schedule of activity across Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and other platforms to develop and engage our audience base
- Using tools such as Google and social media analytics, monitor, report and analyse visit and engagement stats across digital platforms. Use the knowledge to target Bradford Museums and Galleries’ communications more effectively and to set achievable and ambitious targets.
- Ensure effective co-ordination and distribution of publicity leaflets and publications, in digital and hard copy.
- Support the effective management and application of Bradford Museums and Galleries’ brand by supporting staff and partners in their understanding and adherence to brand guidelines.
