Job Introduction
Join Our Team and Help Make a Difference in Shipley!
We are currently looking for a practical and enthusiastic person to join our area team in Shipley. If you're passionate about creating positive changes and want to be part of something meaningful, this could be the role for you!
No previous experience is needed as you'll be provided with full on-the-job training with opportunities to learn and develop your skills even further. However, good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of people and stakeholders would be an advantage.
As part of your role, you'll be responsible for your own 'patch' where you'll get to know the community and build strong connections with residents and local groups. This personal, hands on approach helps us to understand and respond to the unique needs of each neighbourhood. You'll also work closely with the Neighbourhood Connect project, carrying out visits, providing support and linking people to local services.
The role is varied and rewarding. One day you might help to organise a community fun day, the next day working with Youth Services to run a food bank, or you could be delivering educational work to help reduce air pollution, particularly around schools.
So, if you enjoy working with people, want to make a real impact, and are looking for an opportunity to grow personally and professionally, we'd love to hear from you!
