Job Introduction

It’s a crucial time to join the Transformation and Change PMO team at City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council as we develop our internal capacity to support our organisational transformation ambitions.

We are embarking on the delivery of an ambitious organisational transformation programme which will be a vital part of our strategy to support our financial sustainability over the next few years and beyond. The programme impacts across all areas of the council and you will be involved in new, challenging, and innovative work to deliver the future vision for our council.  This includes essential projects and programmes to:

  •  Ensure our services are customer-focussed, easily accessible and provide resolution at the earliest opportunity.
  • Seek to prevent avoidable demand through early help, signposting residents to community-based assets, and supporting residents to live well (‘happy, healthy and at home’).
  • Embed a ‘digital first’ culture and ensure our people have the skills and confidence to drive and utilise this.
  • Champion a culture of high performance, high challenge and high support and design our services to achieve this.
  • Take collective responsibility and ownership for the Council Strategy, prioritising cross-departmental collaboration and a One Council approach.
  • Ensure we are a good partner and leader within the wider system, seeking to work collaboratively with our partners in the district to deliver meaningful change.

If you are an enthusiastic and experienced change professional (with programme management, business analysis and change management skills), able to work autonomously to lead and drive complex pieces of transformation, we want to hear from you!   We are particularly looking for people with senior project management or programme management in areas such as:

  • Customer Contact Management
  • Workforce transformation (including culture and ways of working)
  • Digital Transformation; and
  • Service-specific transformation and service improvement programmes
