Job Introduction
The Parks Department employs semi skilled and skilled gardeners to maintain our parks and green spaces across the Bradford District
We are looking for 5 Semi Skilled Gardener(s) to join our dedicated teams in the Parks Department in Bradford East, South & West. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference in our vibrant and diverse city.
The main responsibilities of this role:
- To assist with the grounds maintenance duties within the Bradford District
- To work as part of a team in delivering the grounds maintenance duties throughout the Bradford South Area in parks/cemetery’s and public open spaces and on the highway.
- Must have a current valid driving licence to drive vehicles up to 3.5 (category B).
- Should be familiar with general horticultural practices and be experienced with the use of ride on type mowing machinery and other powered pedestrian plant.
- To be able to work as part of a team and to work under your own initiative and be able to respond to written and verbal instruction.
- Working as part of the wider Parks & Street Cleansing Service to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of high quality services throughout the Bradford District.
- Must be physically capable and be able to work on uneven terrain in all weathers.
