Senior Business Development Officer

 The main responsibilities of this role:

  • To provide comprehensive business development activity, sales, marketing and promotion across all SFW provision including marketing, sales and promotion to JCP, employers, local authority recruiting managers, schools, parents ,community groups and unemployed adults.
  • To support SfW Principal and SfW Managers in developing, implementing and monitoring initiatives that achieve income and performance outcomes.  This will be done by sales, marketing and promotion to meet income targets, networking, creating and developing partnerships between JCP, employers, schools, DWP, external agencies and the Local Authority. 
  • To assist with the development of sales and new business opportunities to achieve sustained growth of provision. This will be done by sales, marketing, networking, creating and developing partnerships between  JCP, DfE/Combined Authority, Employers, Awarding bodies, Children Centres, Schools and external agencies 
  • To promote and market  all aspects of SFW provision both externally and internally by attending jobs fairs, recruitment events, school careers events, community centres, managers forums and head teacher networks
  • To use a range of complex MI applications as prescribed by SFW, funding and funding bodies i.e. JCP, Combined Authority, DfE, in order to analyse and produce statistical information relating to performance, quality & compliance  ensuring that these are submitted within weekly/monthly/quarterly deadlines for claim and audit purposes preparing improvement plans where necessaryTo carry out employer engagement activities to promote SFW learning and employment programmes including apprenticeships and both funded and commercial training programmes.
  • To deliver corporate projects / tasks / requests, often within demanding deadlines. And contribute to the production of marketing and promotional material in connection with all aspects of SFW provision. 
  • To comply with and ensure that all current legislation and Local Authority policies are complied with, particularly with regard to Equal Rights, Health, Safety & Safeguarding.  Actively challenge inequality of opportunity for customers.
