Volunteer Co-Ordinator

Do you have the passion and drive to want to work for a charity who support those fleeing domestic violence? We have a new and exciting opportunity to set up and develop a volunteer service across the Survive and Thrive Consortium in Bradford.
About the role
This role will be instrumental in building and developing our new volunteer service, allowing us to create a diverse community of volunteers, either with or without lived experience, that reflects the community we serve. The post holder will be involved in recruiting and onboarding volunteers as well as delivering training and managing their placement. The role will work closely with Managers and Team Leaders to develop job descriptions, ensure the placement of volunteers matches their strengths and skills and that the tasks undertaken are suitable and appropriate. Once a team of volunteers is established, this role will provide day to day support, supervision and coaching to ensure our volunteers are supported, valued and can develop in their role.
Monday to Friday 30-37.5 hours, £30,000- £32,000 FTE (depending on experience).
About you
The successful applicant will have experience of managing or co-ordinating projects and ideally volunteers. We are looking for someone who has experience of working with partner agencies and can build and maintain positive relationships. The role requires someone who is self-motivated, can use their initiative and is highly organised. Experience of planning and delivering workshops along with strong communication skills will be important in this role.
