Administrative Officer

Job Introduction


We are seeking a full time Administration Officer to join our busy admin team in Environmental Health.
As a member of the admin team, you will provide flexible, efficient, and professional support to colleagues dealing with a wide and varied range of Environmental Health issues.  This includes noise nuisance, food businesses, animal health and will support a wide range of licensing functions provided by Environmental Health. You will also act as first point of contact through a generic mailbox for members of the public, other Council staff and external agencies. 
You will be enthusiastic, committed, self-motivated and have a ‘can-do’ attitude, including excellent verbal and written communication skills.


We are looking for an administrative officer to join our dedicated team in the Environmental Health. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference in our vibrant and diverse city. 

 The main responsibilities of this role:

  • Manage/respond and prioritize workload in a busy generic outlook mailbox
  • Support officers within Environmental health
  • Scanning of documentation
  • Using Electronic Document Management systems 
  • Creation of jobs for officers using our APP systems
