Casual Duty Manager

Job Introduction

Bradford Theatres is looking to appoint to the casual register, several Casual Duty Managers to work at our Ilkley venue, King’s Hall & Winter Garden.

The venue is a 520 seated theatre, wedding, catered function and events space, comprising of two adjacent halls offering multi-functional community, theatrical and commercial space.

 We are looking for enthusiastic, motivational people who can demonstrate experience of managing busy hospitality/bar/catering environments and who have a passion for live theatre and music. 
 The successful applicants will assist the venue manager to maintain the efficient and effective functioning, management and promotion of the venue.

The role requires duty management of both the Front of House and Bars and Catering Teams, working alongside the technical team and duty chefs, and requires both the ability to work as a team member and upon your own initiative
 You will be responsible for opening and closing the venue, Health and Safety of patrons and staff, safe reconciliation, banking and stock management.

Cellar and movement of stocks, event preparation and set up duties are also part of the role. As such, the role is physically demanding and requires a good level of personal fitness.

 A working knowledge of all relevant Health & Safety procedures and policies would be desirable, but not essential as training will be given: The Licensing Act, Trade Descriptions Act, The Weights and Measures Act, The Food and Drugs Act, Food Safety Act and Food Standards Act, Natasha’s Law etc.
