Mail Distribution & Print Officer

Job Introduction

The mailroom and print room is a busy, thriving service providing a full internal and external mail service for Bradford Council and external customers.  Alongside printing and enveloping high volumes of letters,  documents, mailshots and leaflets.


As a Mail Distribution and Print Officer, you will share the responsibility of delivering high-quality mail and print room services, providing Council-wide departmental support.


The successful candidate will work as part of a busy, efficient team to meet business needs and customer expectations. All work involves mail, print, and reprographics, completed to the highest of standards, and meeting GDPR requirements, service level agreements, and statutory deadlines. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference in our vibrant and diverse city. 


 The main responsibilities of this role:

  • Providing an effective mail sorting service for all incoming, outgoing and internal mail, applying a digital post room approach
  • Printing correspondence and mailshots and operating desktop inserting machine to facilitate the outgoing mail service
  • Providing a reprographics service that includes but is not limited to, the production of brochures, leaflets and booklets
  •  Daily use of Mircosoft Office applications, including responding to emails and print requests
  •  Problem-solving immediate and simple operation problems to ensure any service disruption is kept to a minimum
