About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Personal Assistant to provide professional and confidential support to the Assistant Director – Regeneration & Economy. This is a pivotal role within the Growth Directorate, supporting the delivery of Bradford’s ambitious regeneration and economic development agenda.
As the first point of contact for the Assistant Director, you will manage complex diaries, coordinate meetings, and ensure smooth communication across internal teams and external stakeholders. You will play a key role in maintaining efficient office systems and handling sensitive information with discretion.
What you’ll do
- Manage the Assistant Director’s diary, schedule appointments, and organise meetings.
- Prepare and type confidential correspondence, reports, and meeting minutes.
- Maintain effective office systems, including filing and email management.
- Arrange travel and accommodation as required.
- Act as the primary contact for enquiries, prioritising and redirecting as appropriate.
- Track actions from meetings, complaints, and correspondence to ensure timely follow-up.
- Coordinate the preparation of reports for committees and senior management meetings.
- Undertake research and projects on behalf of the Assistant Director.
- Build strong working relationships across the Council and with external partners.
About You
You will have:
- Proven experience in providing PA or high-level administrative support.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant IT systems.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Knowledge of diary management, meeting servicing, and customer service best practice.
- A minimum of GCSE English (Grade A–C) or equivalent is essential.
