Project Manager

Job Introduction

The Council’s Client Services Team within the Department of Place undertakes the client side project management of a wide range of Council capital projects including key corporate projects, school expansion projects on behalf of the Department of Children’s Services and projects for other Council Departments. The team currently has vacancies for two project managers who will work on a broad portfolio of projects and have:

  • Experience of managing complex high profile projects to time, quality and budget
  • Uses a range of specialist ICT systems across own work area and or across other areas of work.
  • Oversees the management of a budget, keeping costs within agreed levels for own section/team
  • Uses, interprets, analyses, communicates and presents complex information.
  • Manage contractual issues
  • Demonstrate understanding of working in a financial and commercial environment
  • Able to demonstrate excellent written skills, write reports and draft documents in a logical and accurate manner. 
  • Able to investigate complaints/requests and demonstrate a high level of initiative, strong analytical and problem solving skills.
