Sales Development Officer

Job Introduction

Waste & Fleet Services are looking to recruit a Sales Development Officer to provide maternity cover (until 31/01/2026) in a busy trade-waste service team. 


The service operates weekdays, ensuring that accounts are reconciled, payments are recovered, and services are provided correctly and on time.

 

Waste Services operates with more than 250 staff to ensure the various domestic and business collections are provided to over 220,000 properties and 3,000 customers. We provide collections of; general waste, recycling, bulky waste, garden waste and trade waste, using over 50 refuse collection vehicles. 

 

Trade Waste operates with a small team of back-office staff to ensure customer accounts are managed and services are delivered daily.

 

This role is inclusive of database management, customer queries/resolution and liaison with operational staff and managers.

 

The successful applicant will produce and present various statistics, reports and briefings on service performance and any necessary changes required. They will also visit customer premises to complete contract discussions and audits.

 

The role is based at Harris Street depot, Bradford. 

The hours are 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, flexible daily hours between 8am and 5pm.

 

Applicants must have experience of customer account database management and experience of liaising with customers via phone, email and in person.

 

A full driving licence is essential for this post.
