Job Introduction

The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

The criteria under special knowledge and experience on the job profile which is shown in this advert outlines what level of fluency you will be expected to demonstrate.  Therefore, it is essential that you provide examples in your application.

This post is only open to Bradford Council Employees who are on Established or Fixed Term Contract because the Council has to consider employment opportunities for its workforce.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work across the service that includes the Housing Options, Private Sector Lettings and Access to Housing teams.

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, confident Admin Assistant who will provide a high quality, professional administrative support function.

You will therefore have a range of skills including:  

  • Ability to work flexibly to accommodate the needs of the service
  • Experience of helping to improve admin systems and processes to underpin service delivery
  • Skills in using a range of IT packages (Outlook, Word, Excel), to maintain and update information systems accurately
  • Excellent communication skills with team members, the public and internal and external partners
  • Ability to complete clerical and administrative work with accuracy and attention to detail   
  • In addition, you will have experience of working in an office environment providing administrative support.

The role will be Wednesday, Thursday & Friday
