Business Support Officer

Job Introduction

The SEND Services would like to recruit two Business Support Officers who are enthusiastic, customer focused and flexible to work across both the Education Psychology Team and the Social Communication and Interaction Team (SCIL Team).

Please state on your application part time, full time or no preference.

Part time post of 18 ½ hours per week

You will provide administrative support assistance in the Britannia House office flexibly for 18½ hours a week all year round. Salary of £25,183 - £27,269 is pro rata. 

Full time post of 37 hours per week

You will provide administrative support assistance for 37 hours a week all year round. Salary of £25,183 - £27,269. Mainly homeworking but can be asked to attend the office at any time.

 

This comprises of office duties, including the use of Microsoft Office packages (including TEAMs), CIVICA, Capita ONE systems, PowerBi, Sharepoint, SAP and dealing with confidential information.

You must be able to demonstrate in your application how the main responsibilities below have been met in previous roles.

The successful candidate will have the following skills and knowledge:

  • Have the ability to process and manipulate data on complex spreadsheets
  • Minute taking at various different types of meetings 
  • Be a team player and have a flexible approach to the role  
  • Be able to work on their own initiative
  • Have excellent organisational skills and be able to deal with conflicting demands
  • Be able to communicate verbally and in writing with a wide range of people
  • Have vast experience of working in a busy office, working to deadlines, organising own workload and prioritise accordingly
  • Be able to adapt to process change quickly, ensuring efficient and effective delivery
  • Work proactively with key staff and managers to provide an interface between services, members of the public, other public sector bodies and external agencies
  • Have the highest standards of customer care and professionalism
  • Be able to deal with and resolve requests for advice/help
